16 partners from CCGs and LAs covering Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster are creating the new North West London Child Death Review (NWL CDR) service, to deliver the new Child Death Review statutory requirements they now hold.

Following consultation, a new CDR team is being set up to operate across NWL on a phased basis, during Autumn 2019.

Please note: existing local CDOP arrangements will continue as now until the new NWL CDR Team is in place. Up to 25.09.19, please continue to notify any child death (Form A) through eCDOP to your local contacts.

From 26.09.19 please use the new North West London NWL eCDOP: www.ecdop.co.uk/NWLondon

Safeguarding in Brent Survey 2019

Helping us to protect vulnerable children and adults at risk in our borough

All local areas are required to have strategic partnership boards for both safeguarding children and adults. In Brent this function is the responsibility of the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and the Local Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB).

In addition to the responsibilities of organisations and individuals, legislation and guidance places a duty on the LSCB and the SAB to ensure partners safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults in the local area.

As part of these duties, Brent LSCB together with Brent SAB want to hear directly from you about how you are supported in identifying and reporting safeguarding issues. To do this, the Boards have commissioned an independent research organisation (BMG Research) to conduct a joint survey.

The survey has been set up so that you will only be asked questions according to the information you provide about your role.

This survey has been designed to be completed by individuals, volunteers and staff (at all levels) who work with or support children, adults and their families/carers in Brent. If your organisation supports children and adults in any way, we would like your feedback, whatever your role.

The information obtained will be used to help the Boards to identify what aspects of safeguarding are working well or need further development.

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.

All answers are anonymous and no survey response will be linked back to any individual. Your views are important, please be honest and open with your answers.

To complete and submit your survey response please click on the link www.brentsafeguardingsurvey2019.co.uk

This survey will close on 31 July 2019. If you have any difficulties completing the survey, please contact brent.lscb@brent.gov.uk
